Centre for Corporate Responsibility
The CCR was set up with the aim of mainstreaming corporate responsibility in Ghana. It was established under a cooperation agreement between the University of Ghana Business School and the Centre for Cooperation with the Private Sector, (CCPS) GIZ South Africa. The CCR is guided by the following articles:
To create a new generation of business leaders who are knowledgeable about and committed to CSR by inspiring current and future Ghanaian managers with the passion for responsible corporate leadership.
The integration and implementation of CSR activities in sub-Saharan Africa by exposing all constituents to the complex issues of a company’s role and responsibility to society beyond the simple maximization of shareholder value.
Equip managers with the skills and outlook to put sustainability and responsibility at the heart of organizations by integrating CSR behaviour within companies
To create, disseminate and facilitate the application of CSR knowledge to various stakeholder groups in the private, public and non-governmental sectors.
